Night Photography

Long exposure photography is my most recent muse - specifically photographing the night sky. I’m usually looking to create an image of the Milky Way Galaxy, but this requires a bit of planning: finding a dark, clear sky, no moonlight and an interesting foreground subject. There have been a few nights along the coast ending in disappointment because it became too cloudy despite weather reports stating the opposite. Light streaks, starbursts and stars are a lot of fun to photograph, giving us a dazzling natural light show.
